Traditionally used in the garden, decorative wrought iron benches also have many interior décor possibilities. Not only do they provide seating, they add a beautiful decorative element to the room. Wrought iron benches come in many contemporary and classic ironwork styles from low-key modern to highly ornate baroque, which makes them perfect for use with any décor style. You’ll also find it easy to incorporate them in most any room, for a little inspiration we’ve provided a few wrought iron bench ideas below.
Bedroom: A backless bench works beautifully at the foot of the bed or under a window. The sweeping scroll work and gentle curves of the Waterbury Bench pictured here lend itself to a romantic or eclectic décor.
Entry: Benches offer a terrific seating option for the foyer, entry or wide hallway. For a high impact piece use a highly decorative bench such as the Olive Bench shown here, it works particularly well in a formal or semi-formal décor such as traditional and Old World style rooms.
Kitchen/Dining: Place a bench along with additional chairs at the kitchen table or dining room table. Also, you might find one looks lovely placed by the wall and flanked by two small tables and lamps. The Pine Bench shown here brings the outdoors in, it’s designed with delicate pine needles, pinecones and rough bark texture. Ideally, place in a country, rustic modern or eclectic décor.
Living Room: A low-profile bench such as the Legacy Bench shown here works handsomely in lieu of a coffee table in front of the sofa or on against a wall for extra seating. This particular style with its leather seat and simple xbase looks terrific in a rustic, Old World or even a traditional décor.
In addition to those featured above, we offer an array of wrought iron benches in many styles and finishes from master
artisan workshops such as Charleston Forge, Griffin Creek, Stone Country Iron Works and Mathews & Co.
