Five Iron Seating Designs for Small Terraces

August 20, 2014 by Joanna

Wrought iron seating and small terraces can make for great design collaboration. Whether you have a small walled-in terrace in the country or a fabulous little space with a view of the city, carefully selected iron furniture can help create a beautiful and inviting outdoor living environment with lots of style. Let us illustrate what we’re talking about with the images below:

1 Small Terrace

An iron love seat, club chair and comfortable ottoman seem just right for this small apartment terrace with an Asia flair. Notice how angling the seats on opposite corners of the woven rug make the space feel much larger than it really is. Trendy colors have been used to update the design.

2 Small Terrace

On this small stylish terrace with a city view an iron loveseat and lounge chair offer seating that fits perfectly amidst potted greenery of all sorts. Live plants can create a sense of privacy in spaces like this. Stripes are a tried and true pattern for a durable awning canvas and they work beautifully in this design that also includes jaunty stripes covering the comfy cushions.

3 Small Terrace

A small, enclosed terrace can be turned into a charming conversation area with four wrought iron chairs and a round coffee table. Brick pavers and built-in benches create an air of formality that works well with the iron furniture. Flowers on the table top can be changed out from season to season-pansies in the early spring, petunias in the summer, chrysanthemums in the fall and evergreens decorated for the holidays in the winter.

4 Small Terrace

A covered corner terrace with wooden beams and open fireplace offers an idyllic setting for wrought iron armchairs and coffee table. Placing iron furniture atop a stylish rug can help define an outdoor space and enhance the sense of a “real” room. We’re guessing this cozy corner gets a lot of use throughout the year. It’s a great spot for morning coffee or drinks after dinner.

5 Small Terrace

A tiny terrace requires seating with a smaller footprint. Here, wrought iron bistro chairs with a great little round table in between are the ideal size for this cool little apartment terrace. It’s a party for two waiting to happen. It’s easy to decorate an outdoor space like this with throws and pretty pillows.
