We recently introduced our new collection of wrought iron corbels and thought you might like to explore ways to use these functional and decorative pieces. For your inspiration, here are five ways to enhance your décor with wrought iron corbels. At the end of this post you’ll find an extra image showing off an idea for using corbels in an unexpected place. We hope you enjoy our picks. How do use corbels in your home?
Wrought iron corbels look beautiful supporting this small built-in desk in a chic office created by designer Sarah Richardson. The black brackets are a wonderful contrast to the white desktop and wainscoting.
Because of their strength and beauty, wrought iron corbels are a go-to option to support heavy stone countertops on islands and breakfast bars. Of course iron brackets are also great as mostly decorative supports for lighter weight countertops.
Here, in a lovely pale blue kitchen, wrought iron corbels support open shelves for china and serving pieces. Using open shelving in lieu of upper cabinets seems to be coming into its own in both new kitchens and remodels.
This eclectic living room features a brick fireplace that has been retrofitted with a wood burning stove. The mantel is created from a chunky wood beam and wrought iron corbels. Isn’t it a great look.

More and more we’re seeing laundry rooms becoming real decorated spaces in today’s homes. No matter the décor style, giving design thought to this much used, but often neglected room, can result in a space that remains functional but becomes a lot more pleasant to work in. Here a laundry room with vintage style sports white shelves with black wrought iron brackets.
Here’s a bonus sixth idea. We didn’t see this one coming. Not even on our radar–using wrought iron corbels to make a style statement in the garage. What a wonderful and decorative way to organize potting supplies above a deep farmhouse sink. We also love the metal vintage lighting fixture. This idea could be used in any style home with a simple change in style of cabinetry, lighting and decorative elements.
